Say you have 7 grand in your pocket and an 80’s VW Golf rotting in the driveway. Top Gear’s production apparently had and with that money modded that Golf to go from naught to 100 kph in under 7 seconds and even better, does over 70 miles to a gallon (about 3,3l/100km). Awesome. I wish we could get away with half the stuff people do to their cars in the US.

Mercedes-Benz F-CELL Roadster. Apparently they gave trainees some space and time and they’ve come up with this. I’m strangely attracted.

Right on cue after being chosen by a handful of the world’s best car designers in Classic & Sports Car magazine as the most beautiful car ever, and after Citröen got word out that it’s going to relauch the model, this rare DS Convertible fetched nearly half a million euros at a recent Retromobile auction.
